About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Village Scholars Preschool. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of our young students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Development Planning: Assess the children's development and create personalized learning plans to cater to their unique needs and abilities.
  • Program Development: Design and implement engaging child-care programs that support the overall growth and well-being of our students.
  • Leadership and Guidance: Lead activities, tell stories, teach songs, and organize outings to local points of interest, fostering a sense of community and exploration.
  • Health and Safety: Establish and maintain a safe and healthy environment, ensuring the well-being of our students at all times.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Build strong relationships with colleagues and community service providers, working together to provide the best possible care and education for our students.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare regular reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors, highlighting the progress and development of our students.
Requirements
  • Education: College or CEGEP diploma
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role
  • Language: English
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week
