About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the work of subcontractors and technical professionals on projects. You will ensure the safety, quality, and timely completion of projects, while meeting the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems for industrial, commercial, and other building types.
  • Participate in the development of electrical concepts, evaluate electrical contractor submissions, and validate quality control of external consultant plans.
  • Coordinate the various stages of multidisciplinary projects (electrical, mechanical), including defining the mandate, estimating, coordinating plans and estimates with external professionals, etc.
  • Supervise project design, ensuring client needs are met and adhering to Montoni's standards, as well as health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure projects comply with applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Request and coordinate connections to public services (Hydro-Québec, Bell, Vidéotron, etc.).
  • Support the construction of electrical and mechanical systems, and supervise certification, commissioning, and validation of these systems.
  • Resolve electrical technical issues that may arise on site.
  • Analyze electrical contractor cost requests.
  • Examine and coordinate subcontracted work, ensuring compliance with contractual documents.
  • Follow the construction of fiber and network connectivity to enable client use.
  • Determine project hazards and peculiarities, and ensure quality control.
  • Prepare operational readiness, including asset lists, systems, construction documentation, system testing, and surveillance.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience in electrical project management, including design and supervision.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Knowledge of industrial building construction.
  • Experience with data center subsystems (an asset).
  • Bilingualism to communicate with external suppliers and partners.
  • Mastery of the Electrical Code, NFPA standards, and building codes.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong team spirit.
  • Strong sense of duty, initiative, and leadership.
  • Good priority management and rigor.
