Job Summary

STARTRACK CARRIER INC. is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across various locations, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation: Drive a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials across various locations, adhering to safety regulations and company policies.
  • Logistics: Plan and coordinate routes, schedules, and cargo to ensure efficient and timely delivery.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition, and perform routine maintenance tasks as required.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of cargo, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, as well as obtain necessary permits and documents for international routes.
  • Communication: Relay information to central dispatch and receive updates on cargo and route changes.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience as a truck driver is an asset.
  • Licenses and Certifications: AZ class license, Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, and Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Physical Demands: Ability to handle heavy loads, sit for extended periods, and work in a physically demanding environment.
Working Conditions

As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, often under tight deadlines. You will be expected to work independently, with minimal supervision, and make decisions that ensure the safe and efficient transportation of goods.
