Role OverviewThe Global Physical Security Systems Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective management of enterprise PSIM (Physical Security Information Management) systems. This includes overseeing access control systems, intrusion detection, video management, and visitor management solutions. The specialist will collaborate closely with Corporate Physical Security management to ensure adherence to company standards and expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate security technology solutions that promote scalable growth and automation.
- Ensure compliance of PSIM systems with industry standards and company policies.
- Provide expert advice on security site designs for the installation and maintenance of security systems.
- Assist Regional Security Managers in integrating local requirements into standardized security solutions.
- Guide system health and monitoring standards, including conducting Security Hardware Assessments.
- Develop design playbooks and integration standards, ensuring appropriate software licensing for enterprise security systems.
- Support the resolution of system issues, managing monitoring alerts and maintaining regular updates.
- Collaborate with regional leads on vendor relationships and service agreements related to physical security technologies.
- Identify and execute installation and maintenance activities aligned with preventative maintenance plans.
- Track and maintain documentation on operational performance metrics for PSIM systems.
- Assist in planning and managing system expansions and upgrades.
Essential:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, installing, and maintaining technical security systems.
- Proficient in personal computer applications, including spreadsheets, databases, and word processing.
- Ability to interpret complex technical documents and procedures.
- Knowledge of IP-based and electronic security systems.
Preferred:
- Understanding of LAN and WAN systems.
- Skills in computer-aided electronics drafting and design documentation.
