**Job Summary**

The Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata Centre Inc is seeking a skilled professional to fill the position of Home-Based Crisis Intervention Mentor. This role requires a high level of emotional intelligence, cultural competence, and ability to work with diverse populations.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Respond to referrals from community partners and provide immediate support to individuals and families in crisis.
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans to address the unique needs of each family.
  • Provide emotional support, mediation, conflict resolution, and recreational activities to promote healthy relationships and well-being.
  • Collaborate with community partners to ensure seamless service delivery and coordination.
  • Document and report on client progress and outcomes.

**Requirements:**

  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. social work, counseling, psychology).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with diverse populations, particularly Indigenous communities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid Manitoba driver's license and access to a vehicle.
  • Current police and child abuse checks.
