Podiatrist

We are seeking a skilled Chiropodist to join our established team of referring Medical Specialists at LMC Oakville. As a Chiropodist, you will have the opportunity to work with a cohesive team of professionals, including Endocrinologists, Pharmacists, Optometrists, Nutritionists, and the Centricity research team, to provide exceptional patient care.

• We have a well-developed patient referral system from both our LMC Endocrinologists and external referring physicians, allowing you to efficiently build a patient base.
• Our Medical office assistant will support booking and billing of patients, ensuring a smooth workflow.
• You will have direct support from our Manager of Medical Education and Clinical Operations to assist with onboarding, product conversions, supplies, SOPs, and IT.
• Our Chiropody, Medical Director will provide clinical support with difficult or unique cases.
• We offer thorough online LMC training programs to assist with the onboarding process.

• Provide full scope of practice Chiropody according to the standards of the College of Chiropodists of Ontario.
• Provide patient care, including nail and callous care, wart treatments, treating chronic and acute wounds, performing soft tissue surgeries, biomechanical and gait analysis for offloading purposes.
• Collaborate with an inter-professional team, including Endocrinologists, Nurses, Diabetes Educators, Pharmacists, etc.
• Ensure treatment rooms and equipment are well maintained.
• Provide foot education to patients and other local professionals.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Expertise in providing care to individuals with diabetes.
• Proficiency in use of computers.
• Excellent decision making and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to take initiative.
• Willingness to work in a team environment.
• Graduate Diploma from a recognized school of Chiropody with professional certification (D.Ch. or D.Pod.M.).
• Member in good standing with College of Chiropodists without limitations.
