Job Title: Procurement Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Coordinator to join our team at John Brooks Company. As a key member of our purchasing department, you will play a crucial role in supporting our daily administrative functions for the procurement process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform buying for selected lines and ensure timely delivery of goods and services
  • Resolve receiving discrepancies and supplier shipping errors in a timely and professional manner
  • Coordinate vendor returns and ensure accurate documentation
  • Provide backup and support for the procurement, freight, and traffic departments as needed
  • Liaise with accounts payable to resolve any discrepancies on POs, receiving, and invoicing
  • Assist with data management, including part number integrity, pricing, and accuracy
Requirements:
  • University/College degree in material management, business, or administration
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in procurement, purchasing, administration, warehousing, logistics, or supply chain
  • Thorough knowledge of DRP software systems and data entry
  • Demonstrated knowledge of purchasing, inventory management, and contracting techniques and procedures
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control practices
  • Excellent people management and negotiation skills
  • Able to consistently represent the company in a professional manner
  • Sound judgment and shrewd decision-making skills
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision
  • Strong writing and presentation skills for creating reports, correspondence, contracts, requests, bids, and other documentation
  • Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, attention to detail, and execution skills
  • Ability to respond appropriately in pressure situations with a calm and steady demeanor
