Role Summary:

As a member of the Refinery Maintenance Division within the Metals Team, you will be responsible for the upkeep, diagnostics, repair, layout, assembly, and construction of piping systems, pressure vessels, and heat exchangers.

Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • The ideal candidate is open to positive transformation and dedicated to enhancing our safety and reliability culture.
  • Must possess a Pipefitter/Steamfitter BCTQ (British Columbia Trade Qualification) with IP/Red Seal certification.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role after completing an apprenticeship.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the Petrochemical sector, with expertise in:
    • Design and construction of new refinery equipment and piping systems.
    • Repair and maintenance of existing equipment and piping systems.
    • Service and maintenance of heat exchangers, pressure vessels, boilers, and related auxiliary systems.
    • Troubleshooting of refinery equipment associated with welding and pipefitting.
    • Knowledge of rigging and crane operations.
    • Fabrication and installation of temporary leak repairs.
    • Hydro testing of piping systems and pressure vessels.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Experience as a Boilermaker is advantageous.
    • Gasfitter certification is a plus.
    • Familiarity with computerized maintenance systems (JDE, SAP, etc.) is beneficial.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills are essential.
