Job Title: General Construction Labourer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced General Construction Labourer to join our team at The Western Corp. As a General Construction Labourer, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks on construction sites, including loading and unloading materials, operating equipment, and assisting in the construction process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials
  • Operate equipment such as cranes, gantry cranes, and locomotive cranes
  • Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites
  • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs
  • Assist in demolishing buildings
  • Perform routine maintenance work
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
