Job Summary:

The Manager, Financial Planning will be responsible for overseeing and managing the development and maintenance of the Company's corporate forecast model. This includes preparing regular and ad-hoc analysis of the Company's performance, analyzing monthly and quarterly results against forecasts, and preparing financial analysis for operational Senior Leadership Team and department managers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain the Company's corporate forecast model, including preparing monthly and quarterly analysis and scenarios.
  • Analyze monthly and quarterly results against forecasts, investigating and understanding variances with department managers.
  • Prepare financial analysis for operational Senior Leadership Team and department managers, including monthly financial analysis and quarterly financial summary.
  • Develop and implement a new FP&A software, and oversee its implementation.
  • Enhance corporate business intelligence initiatives, including data visualization, dashboards, KPI's, and operating metrics.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis role, preferably in a public mid-sized manufacturing/technology environment.
  • Strong understanding of business modeling and accounting principles, preferably in a hardware and/or software-based company.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, experience with Vena FP&A software would be an asset.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
