Bookkeeping Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeping Specialist to join our team at The Health and Beauty Distributor Inc. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other financial documents.
- Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Accounting and Auditing: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and perform regular audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.
- Payroll and Benefits Administration: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, and administer benefits programs.
- Financial Analysis and Reporting: Analyze financial data and prepare reports to support business decisions.
- Education: College/CEGEP degree in Accounting or related field.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and time management skills, and proficiency in accounting software.
This is a permanent, full-time position working 35 hours per week. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
