Job Summary:

The Security Specialist will provide high-level security services to clients, including residential and event security, response services, and investigations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in law enforcement, military, or security experience, with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to interact effectively with diverse cultures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent Pinkerton's core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
  • Provide concierge-level security services to clients, including residential and event security, response services, and investigations.
  • Conduct quality investigations and complete detailed reports.
  • Provide response services related to emergency and crisis planning, high-risk terminations, workforce disruptions, natural disasters, civil unrest, and threat monitoring.
  • Transport clients to and from company locations and events.
  • Secure client residences and review CCTV, manage access controls, and respond to alarms as needed.
  • Identify and escalate equipment deficiencies or failures.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Secondary School Diploma with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in law enforcement, military, or security experience.
  • Healthcare industry experience preferred.
  • Ontario security license and 1st Aid/CPR certificate required.

Competencies:

  • Law enforcement, military, and/or security experience.
  • Concierge-level customer service experience.
  • Able to complete thorough and accurate investigations and reports.
  • Access control systems, CCTV, and alarm monitoring experience.
  • Strong problem resolution skills.
  • Able to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer knowledge; Microsoft Office.

  • Exposure to sensitive and confidential information.
  • Regular computer usage.
  • Must be able to see, hear, speak, and write clearly in order to communicate with employees and/or customers.
  • Occasional reaching and lifting of small objects and operating office equipment.
  • Ability to adjust focus between close and distance vision.
  • Travel, as required.

Salary & Benefits Information:

Rate of pay: $18.00/hour.
