Senior Legal Counsel

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our team at Global University Systems. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a critical role in shaping the company's commercial strategy and ensuring that all agreements are commercially and legally sound.
Key Responsibilities- Commercial Agreements: Structuring, drafting, and negotiating commercial agreements, including platform agreements, licenses, terms & conditions, service agreements, partnership agreements, and representative agreements.
- Collaboration: Working closely with the sales operations, marketing, and procurement teams to ensure that all agreements are aligned with the company's commercial strategy.
- Contract Management: Ensuring that all agreements are commercially and legally sound and in line with head office requirements.
- Negotiations: Carrying out negotiations with customers, suppliers, partner universities, agents, and other stakeholders.
- External Counsel: Managing external counsel and corporate services providers.
- Academic Background: Excellent academics and good training from a recognized Canadian firm.
- Commercial Experience: Solid commercial experience, preferably in a similar role.
- Skills: Multitasking skills, ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and excellent communication skills.
- Team Player: A client-facing and entrepreneurial team player who is comfortable working alongside other senior lawyers on complex matters or running their own matters independently.
