About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Construction Assistant to join our team at Sosan Construction ltd. As a key member of our crew, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from project sites.
  • Read blueprints and determine work requirements to ensure accurate execution of tasks.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt as needed.
  • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs under the guidance of experienced crew members.
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials, and perform routine maintenance work to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites, and tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction.
Requirements
  • Experience in construction or a related field is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks, and ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Availability to work 30 to 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work overtime as needed.
Working Conditions

As a Construction Assistant, you will be working in a variety of settings, including construction sites, warehouses, and offices. You will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

Language

The primary language of communication in this role is English.
