About the Role:
Southbridge Care Homes is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at our Scarborough location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional resident care while adhering to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and conditions of residents, and initiate appropriate health measures.
- Organize and direct functions related to resident care, ensuring a high level of quality and service.
- Assist in the management of nursing and personal care staff, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
- Train and develop new staff members, addressing concerns and referring to the Director of Care as needed.
Requirements:
- Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Bilingualism in English and French is an asset, but not required.
- A strong passion for caring for seniors and a commitment to delivering exceptional care.
- Registration or eligibility for registration with the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario.
- Previous experience in long-term care is an asset, with a comprehensive understanding of duties and responsibilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
- Excellent communication and comprehension skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Developed problem-solving skills, with a focus on creative and effective solutions.
