Procurement Director

We are seeking a seasoned Director, International Corporates to join our team at David Aplin Recruiting. This is a unique opportunity to lead the development and execution of procurement and strategic sourcing strategies that align with our client's business objectives and support long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the development and execution of procurement and strategic sourcing strategies that align with the company's business objectives and support long-term growth.
- Direct and coordinate supply chain activities to optimize on-time supply, resource utilization, maximize profitability, and ensure alignment with corporate KPIs.
- Work closely with senior leadership and other departments to ensure that procurement strategies are integrated into the overall business plan and support the company's operational goals.
- Lead the identification and qualification of new suppliers and/or partners to search the best options in the market and to mitigate risks.
- Analyze current procurement processes and inventories, recommending and implementing changes that enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Develop and execute strategies to diversify the supplier base, including sourcing from domestic, U.Mexico, Asia, and other international markets.
- Ensure adherence to all procurement policies and procedures, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Lead and develop a high-performing procurement team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Manage and control the procurement budget, ensuring financial objectives are met.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement and strategic sourcing within a manufacturing environment.
- A university degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in leading procurement strategies that align with corporate goals and drive organizational success.
- Proven ability to lead and influence at a senior level, with a record of accomplishment of building strong cross-functional relationships.
- Supply Chain Expertise: Deep knowledge of supply chain management, procurement practices, and strategic sourcing, with experience in both domestic and international markets.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and make strategic recommendations.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems, with a focus on procurement and inventory management software.
