TiMi Montreal is seeking a talented Junior Tools Programmer to contribute to the development of an exciting new AAA open-world game.

This project will be released across multiple platforms, aiming to captivate a global audience. As part of TiMi Studio Group, a subsidiary of Tencent Games, we are dedicated to crafting immersive worlds that players can explore for years to come.

Your Role:

  • Collaborate closely with artists and designers to find innovative solutions that meet their needs.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our tools and pipeline based on user feedback.
  • Help establish a productive and scalable work environment for the team.
  • Implement cutting-edge technology that supports our game vision and empowers content creators.
  • Work alongside artists, designers, and animators to design solutions tailored to their requirements.
  • Analyze pipeline performance to identify areas for optimization and improvement.
  • Debug and resolve issues within our development pipeline.
  • Maintain high coding standards and comprehensive documentation.
  • Focus on maximizing productivity, scalability, and efficiency in all your work.

What We Look For:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in software development or game production for consoles or PC. Experience with AAA game development is highly desirable.
  • Project or internship experience in game programming, particularly with current-generation video games (PS4/XBOX ONE).
  • Proficiency in various programming languages, especially C# and C++.
  • Understanding of game engine and editor concepts would be beneficial (e.g., Unreal).
  • Ability to write robust, reliable, and efficient code with excellent debugging and optimization skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, broad knowledge of game content creation pipelines, and the ability to quickly prototype and iterate in collaboration with others.
  • A team-oriented mindset, a strong work ethic, and self-motivation.
  • A genuine passion for playing and creating video games.
