About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Igloo Transport. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner.
  • Travel Arrangements: Arrange travel itineraries and make reservations as needed.
  • Vehicle Operation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Documentation: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Security and Safety: Ensure the safety and security of cargo, and obtain special permits and documents required for international routes.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Air Brake (Z) Endorsement and Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Documentation Knowledge: Familiarity with accident or incident reports, bill of lading, driver logbook, inspection reports, maintenance and repair reports, and trans-border documentation.
  • Transportation Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in trucking.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.
