Job Summary:

The Scheduler will play a critical role in the CMLU Program Controls Team, responsible for establishing and maintaining detailed schedules for aircraft production and other areas within the program. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and develop creative solutions to complex scheduling challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and monitor progress against the Program Master Schedule, identifying and highlighting deficiencies to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Develop and maintain detailed aircraft production and program workstream schedules using MS Project Server software, ensuring accurate resource allocation and task duration.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Production Supervision, Planners, and Material personnel to develop project sequencing and identify dependencies, ensuring seamless integration of schedules and resources.
  • Proactively manage schedules to ensure they have the correct sequence, milestones, resource allocation, task duration, and linkages of dependencies and scheduled events.
  • Assist in developing schedule recovery plans, including modeling 'what if' scenarios, to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Evaluate and identify schedule constraints, proposing corrective actions to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Provide weekly aircraft progress updates, focusing on % Complete, to ensure stakeholders are informed of project status.
  • Support Program reporting, including interpreting and analyzing data, assessing Program risk and schedule impact, and applying analytical tools to inform decision-making.
  • Assist the Program Controls Team in monitoring cost against Program progress, ensuring accurate financial reporting and analysis.
  • Highlight critical items for Production and Material, developing work-around plans as required to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives to enhance scheduling processes and improve overall program efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a Post-Secondary Institution with a focus on data analysis, manufacturing, project management, change management, or related fields preferred.
  • B. Eng. or Industrial Engineering Technologist or equivalent diploma considered an asset.
  • Registered PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) would be considered an asset.
  • Sound knowledge of MS Project or similar tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and demonstrated logical thinking, with the ability to think through complex problems in a logical and organized manner.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with others, including Project Managers, Production Supervision, Planners, and Material personnel.
  • Creative and innovative, with the ability to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in work style to respond to multiple requests and handle sudden changes in priorities.
  • Proficient in MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience in a production environment preferred.
  • Sound knowledge of performance reporting.
  • Experience with Power BI, SQL Programming, J.D. Edwards software, and SharePoint considered an asset.
  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to IMP Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment policies, focusing on individual safety and the safety of others who may be affected by work.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement, Lean & 5S activities in the area.
  • Must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and Canadian Government Security Clearances.
