About The Role
The ideal candidate will have 2+ years' post-call experience working within Estates Litigation. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting thorough legal research to analyze Ontario statutes, case law, and legal precedents relevant to estate litigation.
- Managing a caseload of estates litigation matters specific to Ontario jurisdiction.
- Drafting and filing legal documents, pleadings, and motions in accordance with Ontario's Rules of Civil Procedure.
- Representing clients in mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings within Ontario's judicial system.
- Maintaining regular communication with clients throughout the litigation process.
- Providing updates on case developments, explaining legal strategies, and addressing client inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
