Position Summary

The Senior Oracle eBS Developer serves as a vital IT resource, collaborating closely with various business units and functional analysts to design and implement scalable solutions utilizing industry best practices. This role involves partnering with internal and external stakeholders to create and deploy solutions that enhance business value. Responsibilities include estimating technical tasks in accordance with best practices and industry standards, managing projects to ensure timely completion within budget, and overseeing all technical project activities to guarantee the quality of deliverables. Additionally, the role entails assisting in the development of standards, procedures, and processes for optimal solution delivery.


Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business partners to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Provide daily production support for operational issues.
  • Guide team members in designing and implementing technical solutions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of ten years of experience with Oracle applications, including at least two years as a technical lead for Oracle eBusiness Suite applications.
  • At least five years of experience with ERP conversion processes and integrations, utilizing tools such as OIC, GoAnywhere, or SOA Suite.

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies
  • Proven experience leading full life cycle Oracle eBS implementations.
  • Strong understanding of software development principles, processes, and techniques.
  • Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL, XML/BI Publisher, RTF templates, OAF, JDeveloper, Java, XML, Shell Scripting, and Workflow tools.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Applications Framework (OAF) development and personalization.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of Oracle modules related to Financials, Supply Chain, and/or EAM.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Oracle eBusiness Suite APIs, SOA Gateway, and REST APIs.
  • Knowledge of tools such as AventX, Noetix, and MFT tools like GoAnywhere is advantageous.
  • Awareness of trends and challenges in the energy industry is a plus.
  • Experience in Agile project environments as well as traditional waterfall methodologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate with vendors and teams across different time zones.
  • Must be eligible to work in the USA or Canada.
  • Knowledge of the steel industry is a significant advantage.
  • ERP experience is essential; experience with decommissioning systems is beneficial.
  • Working knowledge of Windows SQL Server DB.
  • Capability to develop and lead diverse teams.
