The Director of Campus Operations - Vaughan is a key administrative leader at Niagara University, responsible for overseeing all campus operations in Vaughan. This role ensures the efficient and effective management of the organization, with a focus on excellence and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Advise the Vice President of Administration for Ontario on matters related to university operations and facility management.
- Oversee all campus operations, including administration, safety, and maintenance, ensuring the Vaughan campus is safe and operable.
- Establish and implement metrics to evaluate efficiency and effectiveness, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Provide forward planning, management, and oversight of activities and processes to maintain a safe and operable campus.
- Assist with research, development, and planning for short- and long-range campus projects.
- Review and develop subordinates annually to ensure goals and objectives align with the university's strategic direction.
- Ensure financial stability, including compliance with best business practices and priority-based budgeting.
- Provide leadership to complement and develop the university's mission and long-term objectives.
- Maintain confidentiality of information, including financial data, human resources, and student and employee personal information.
- Review, analyze, and evaluate campus procedures, implementing policies and procedures to improve day-to-day operations.
- Plan, direct, control, implement, evaluate, monitor, and assist in forecasting budgets to achieve financial objectives.
- Develop, coordinate, and oversee communication to students, staff, faculty, and the community, explaining new directives, policies, or procedures.
- Project a positive image of the university to students, families, staff, and faculty, and the community.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Administration for Ontario.
The Director of Campus Operations - Vaughan will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring strong leadership and problem-solving skills. The role involves working collaboratively with the Vice President of Administration for Ontario and other senior leaders to achieve the university's goals.
Requirements- Master's degree or equivalent professional certification required.
- A minimum of five years of professional/management experience in positions of increasing responsibility, with a proven record of success and demonstrated problem-solving ability.
- A valid Canadian driver's license is required, satisfying both university and insurance company underwriting rules and regulations for driving a motor vehicle.
