Job Title: Roofer Helper

Next Power Inc. is seeking a skilled Roofer Helper to join our team. As a Roofer Helper, you will assist in the construction and maintenance of roofing systems, ensuring the highest quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the work site.
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Operate pile driving cranes to drive pilings into the earth to provide support for buildings and other structures.
  • Instruct apprentices in the proper techniques and procedures for roofing and construction.
  • Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites to prepare the surface for roofing.
  • Operate cranes mounted on boats or barges to lift, move, and place equipment and materials.
  • Assist in demolishing buildings and cleaning up the site.
  • Perform routine maintenance work on equipment and machinery.
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in construction or a related field.
  • Permanent employment with a 40 to 44 hour workweek.
  • English language proficiency.
Work Environment:

The work environment is outdoors, with a focus on construction sites. The work setting is on a construction site, with a variety of tasks and responsibilities.

Physical Capabilities:

The job requires working under pressure, with a focus on hand-eye coordination and physical stamina.
