Job Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified Full-time Indigenous Adult Education Day School Teacher to join our team at the Grand Erie District School Board.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring Indigenous adult students in a day school setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Indigenous cultures and histories, as well as experience working with adult learners.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach and mentor Indigenous adult students in a day school setting
  • Develop and implement curriculum that meets the needs of Indigenous adult learners
  • Work collaboratively with other educators and support staff to ensure student success
  • Provide guidance and support to students in achieving their educational goals

Qualifications:

  • Ontario College of Teachers' Certificate of Qualification
  • Qualified to teach in the Intermediate/Senior Divisions in accordance with Ministry of Education regulations
  • Indigenous Ancestry preferred

How to Apply:

Current contract and continuing education teachers must apply directly to the principal of the school, Jeff Allison. Current occasional teachers and external applicants must apply through Apply to Education.
