Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to work with our team of professionals in providing high-quality childcare services to children aged 0-5 years. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Development and Planning: Assess children's development and create individualized learning plans to meet their unique needs.
  • Assisting Co-Workers: Assist colleagues with housekeeping and cooking duties to maintain a clean and healthy environment.
  • Childcare and Education: Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers, and develop and implement child-care programs that support children's growth and development.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain daycare equipment to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
  • Communication: Synthesize children's situations and communicate with parents to keep them informed.
  • Leadership and Guidance: Lead activities, tell stories, teach songs, and take children on outings to promote learning and development.
  • Encouraging Creativity: Encourage children to express themselves through art, music, and physical activity.
  • Guiding Children: Guide children in developing good eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for meals and rest periods.
  • Observation and Reporting: Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents and supervisors.
  • Teamwork: Supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and assistants.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year.
