Job SummaryThe Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of a comprehensive maintenance program, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our equipment and facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Safety First: Demonstrate unwavering commitment to our zero-harm culture, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Maintenance Planning: Plan, estimate, and assign work orders, evaluating the effectiveness of repairs and implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Team Supervision: Supervise and guide maintenance technicians, providing training and development opportunities to enhance their skills and performance.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present weekly and monthly KPI reports to senior management, highlighting trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
- Maintenance Scheduling: Develop and adhere to maintenance schedules, ensuring equipment is properly maintained and repaired on a regular basis.
- Equipment Inspection: Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Spare Parts Management: Manage, maintain, and order an inventory of spare parts and supplies necessary for maintenance and repair work.
- Collaboration and Communication: Coordinate with planning, production managers, and supervisors to schedule maintenance and repair work during downtime, minimizing production disruptions.
- Efficiency Measurement: Measure the efficiency of work orders, comparing estimated hours to actual hours worked.
- CMMS Optimization: Improve the CMMS capability through accurate data collection, reporting, analysis tools, and preventative maintenance adherence.
- Equipment Performance Monitoring: Monitor equipment performance, identifying opportunities for improvement in maintenance processes and procedures.
- Root Cause Analysis: Analyze and determine equipment failures for root cause, recommending solutions to improve equipment reliability and identify previous equipment failures and repairs.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with other departments to ensure maintenance activities align with organizational goals and objectives, creating and executing an annual strategic plan for the maintenance department.
- Contractor Management: Work effectively with outside contractors as necessary, ensuring seamless execution of maintenance tasks.
- Urgent Repairs: Perform off-shift hours to complete urgent repairs, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
- Experience: 15 years of supervisory experience in facility operations or maintenance, preferably in the foundry industry.
- Leadership Skills: Strong people leadership and senior maintenance knowledge, with the ability to communicate effectively and influence others.
- Health and Safety: Knowledge of Health & Safety Legislation (OHSA), guidelines, and standards pertaining to the foundry industry.
- Technical Skills: Forklift licensed, or willing to be trained, and overhead crane operator licensed, or willing to be trained.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with a strong understanding of English, both written and spoken.
- Preferred Qualifications: Industrial millwright or industrial electrician ticket, knowledge of AutoCAD, and ability to read blueprints.
The Wohl Group offers a competitive salary range of $120,000, along with opportunities for growth and development in a dynamic and challenging environment.
