Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our diverse fleet of construction equipment. You will work closely with the Equipment Director to ensure that all machinery is in optimal condition and ready for operation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of heavy equipment, including excavators, loaders, bulldozers, and more.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues, identify faulty components, and implement effective repair solutions.
  • Collaborate with the Equipment Director to develop and maintain comprehensive maintenance schedules.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and operational issues in a timely and efficient manner.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or certification in diesel mechanics or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of two years of hands-on experience as an Equipment Mechanic in the construction industry.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license.
  • Construction Health and Safety card (ASP).
  • Welding skills are considered an asset.
