About the Role

Aeris Airconditioning is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our team. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for creating high-quality sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and Interpret Blueprints: Carefully read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements and ensure accurate fabrication.
  • Measure and Mark Sheet Metal: Measure and mark sheet metal according to templates to ensure precise cutting and shaping.
  • Operate Metalworking Machines: Safely operate metalworking machines, such as laser cutters, to cut, punch, drill, shape, or straighten sheet metal.
  • Cut Materials: Cut materials using power tools or by hand, ensuring accurate cuts and minimal waste.
  • Operate CADD and Computer Software: Operate computer-aided design (CADD) and other software systems to create and edit designs, and to manage fabrication processes.
  • Fabricate and Assemble: Fit and join sheet metal parts to create finished products, ensuring high-quality and precision.
  • Install Sheet Metal Products: Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Setting: Various locations, with a focus on indoor fabrication.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
