We are looking for a Pension Administration Team Leader to oversee our BPA division.
The Pension Operations Supervisor is accountable for the proficient daily management of our Client Pension Programs. This role involves leading a team of pension specialists.
Key Responsibilities of the Pension Administration Team Leader:
Provide direction and encouragement to the team responsible for ensuring precise defined benefit and/or defined contribution pension plan records, calculations, and communications based on plan specifications, actuarial assumptions, and regulatory guidelines. Conduct peer evaluations and engage in the production of daily tasks, year-end assessments, annual reports, and compliance submissions. Generate reports and analyze team and client performance metrics for management. Oversee requests, timelines, workloads, and staff duties to fulfill client expectations. Ensure the team adheres to organizational and client service benchmarks. Develop, coordinate, and facilitate training for staff on systems, administrative procedures, plan interpretations, and current legislative mandates. Address and resolve issues as they arise. Manage escalations from members and clients effectively. Participate in projects and organizational initiatives to identify and implement new processes, compliance measures, and solutions. Ensure internal controls and accuracy are maintained. Assist in the recruitment of new personnel and conduct interviews. Facilitate performance evaluations and manage personnel and HR policies. Monitor and promote high team engagement and morale. Collaborate with other members of the BPA pension teams to support overall departmental objectives. Contribute to business development as a vital member of the company's leadership group.Qualifications for Success as a Pension Administration Team Leader:
At least 3 years of experience in a customer service role, preferably related to defined benefit pension management. Comprehensive knowledge of defined benefit pension plan management, actuarial principles, CIA recommendations, and legislative regulations applicable to Ontario and other regions. Ability to interpret, apply, and communicate modifications to pension provisions and regulations. Strong interpersonal, leadership, and coaching abilities.Preferred Attributes:
Exceptional prioritization, time management, and organizational skills. Strong written and verbal communication capabilities. Effective problem-solving skills. Proficient understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel.Benefits Offered:
