Job Summary:

The Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service team, ensuring that all food and service meet our high quality standards. This is a permanent position with a 30-40 hour workweek.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, including cooks, food service counter attendants, and food preparers.
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Prepare and submit reports, including work schedules and inventory management.
  • Address customer complaints or concerns and maintain a client-focused approach.
  • Work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service environment.
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods.
  • Flexibility and ability to work in a team environment.
Work Environment:

This position is based in a restaurant environment with a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

Language:

English is the primary language of communication in this role.
