This position is situated in a convenience store setting, which is typically fast-paced and requires the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Operate the cash register and manage transactions.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to enhance the shopping experience.
- Scan items and accurately tabulate total payments for goods or services.
- Receive payments and ensure proper handling of cash and credit transactions.
- Calculate daily or shift payments received and reconcile with total sales.
- Restock shelves and maintain cleanliness in the counter area.
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their needs.
- Wrap or package merchandise appropriately for customers.
- Support customers during self-checkout processes.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Capability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Physical requirements include bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and engage in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
- Strong team player with excellent oral communication skills.
- Attention to accuracy in all tasks.
No prior experience is necessary as training will be provided. This is a permanent position with a standard work schedule of 40 hours per week, and the primary language of work is English.
