Position Overview
Globotech Inc. is in search of an Electrical Project Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in delivering technical expertise and oversight throughout the planning, development, execution, and commissioning phases of plant modifications.

Key Responsibilities
The Electrical Project Specialist will:

  • Provide comprehensive technical support and ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory codes relevant to the discipline.
  • Review design package submissions, focusing on constructability and execution feasibility during the project development phase.
  • Demonstrate a robust understanding of Nuclear power plant operations, including maintenance and operational components.
  • Manage projects with a focus on safety, quality, productivity, asset reliability, process enhancement, cost efficiency, and other business objectives.
  • Oversee projects from initial concept through design, procurement, construction, and start-up phases.
  • Deliver training on operation, setup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Utilize expertise in Electrical Hardware, Automation Systems, and Process Control Systems.
  • Assist in planning, prioritizing, and reviewing technical plans for engineering and maintenance of production and facility equipment, including project plans, schedules, budgets, and proposals.
  • Contribute to the development of control policies and procedures, recommending enhancements to existing standards.
  • Analyze and interpret project-related documents (electrical, mechanical, architectural, etc.) to accurately assess all controls and instrumentation scope items.
  • Quantify all material and labor requirements associated with projects accurately.
  • Evaluate estimates with the Senior Engineering Manager for accuracy and value analysis.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritizing based on deadlines.
  • Collaborate with customers, senior engineers, consulting engineers, pre-construction teams, and contract managers to prepare precise design proposals and schedules.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience with Engineering and Project Change Control Systems.
  • A solid foundation in physics, chemistry, metallurgy, mathematics, electricity, engineering, and economics to understand facility operations.
  • Strong technical writing skills for creating specifications, work instructions, and planning documents.
  • The ability to propose solutions to technical challenges both verbally and in writing.
  • Effective communication skills to interface with Plant Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, regulators, and other stakeholders.
  • Experience in problem-solving, providing guidance, and making recommendations during the design, commissioning, and operation of nuclear facilities.
  • Capability to evaluate components or materials and conduct economic studies related to the design and operation of nuclear facilities while ensuring safety.
