Position Overview:
The Aircraft Parts Inspector will report directly to the Director of COE Demand Planning. The key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring adherence to all company policies and procedures;
- Assessing the condition of unserviceable parts and categorizing them based on required actions;
- Estimating costs for the repair and overhaul of quarantined parts;
- Receiving and evaluating merchandise from various sources;
- Certifying all parts necessary for Top Aces operations;
- Collaborating with the Supply Chain team and suppliers to uphold vendor quality assurance;
- Supporting safety initiatives and the Quality Management System;
- Participating in training programs to maintain qualifications;
- Assisting in the on-the-job training and guidance of personnel as needed;
- Maintaining accurate master data related to certification, status, and condition;
- Performing additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid Transport Canada M1 or M2 license;
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar capacity;
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in both English and French to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders;
- Experience with technical documentation in the aviation sector;
- Familiarity with the certification processes for aircraft components;
- Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook);
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive demeanor and providing exceptional customer service;
- Capability to work independently and complete assignments within given parameters and accepted practices;
