REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
– License or Certification: Valid State or Regional Massage License.
POSITION SUMMARY
Deliver exceptional massage therapy services to clients utilizing various techniques and products. Administer body treatments including scrubs, wraps, and hydrotherapy. Evaluate client needs and inquire about any contraindications (e.g., allergies, high blood pressure, pregnancy) prior to commencing services. Stay informed about the latest techniques and modalities in the field. Ensure a welcoming environment by escorting clients to and from treatment areas. Organize workstations, treatment rooms, and drapes efficiently. Regularly check in with clients to ensure their comfort, safety, and satisfaction throughout the service. Promote and market spa services, including retail products associated with the therapy.
Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of tools and equipment. Keep the workstation and treatment area tidy throughout the shift, disposing of waste and securing supplies and equipment at the end of each session. Adhere to a scheduled timeline throughout the day. Address any inappropriate client behavior by following established protocols, which may include stopping a treatment and notifying a supervisor. Ensure ongoing compliance with skills and licensure requirements as mandated by regional regulations.
Report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management; participate in safety training and certification programs. Abide by all company policies and procedures; maintain a professional appearance and confidentiality of proprietary information; safeguard company assets. Greet and acknowledge all clients in accordance with company standards; anticipate and address their service needs; express gratitude to clients sincerely. Communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues and clients alike. Cultivate and sustain positive working relationships with team members. Be prepared to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods; handle objects of varying sizes and weights. Perform other reasonable job duties as assigned by Supervisors.
