Wound Care Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Wound Care Specialist to join our team at ParaMed Home Health Care. As a Wound Care Specialist, you will provide advanced wound care services to patients in a community setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct practice to patients requiring wound, ostomy, and continence assessment, care, and management.
  • Provide education to our nursing healthcare team, patients, and families.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Participate in wound, ostomy, and continence clinical leadership opportunities.
Requirements:
  • IIWCC, NSWOC, WOCC(c), SWAN, or other advanced wound care education/certification.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a practicing Registered Nurse, ideally in a community setting and/or providing wound/ostomy/continence care to patients.
  • Current membership/registration with the Nurses Specialized in Wound Ostomy & Continence Canada (preferred).
  • Ability to perform BCLS to College of Nurses standards.
