We have developed cutting-edge technologies to unlock high-value drug targets, including antibody-drug conjugates and T-cell engagers for cancer, as well as complex transmembrane proteins for conditions like metabolic disorders, endocrine diseases, pain, and autoimmunity.
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior/Principal Scientist to join our Formulation and Pharmaceutical Development team within Process Development at AbCellera. In this role, you will be responsible for establishing robust platforms and workflows for formulation and drug product process development, as well as clinical in-use studies. You will also act as a mentor to junior staff, fostering their growth and managing a dedicated team.
How You'll Make an Impact:- Provide strategic, technical, and tactical leadership for the Formulation Development team.
- Develop innovative antibody formulation and drug product process development strategies, ensuring alignment with regulatory guidelines and business objectives.
- Contribute to multiple concurrent projects, either as a subject matter expert or by mentoring and coordinating resource support across teams.
- Represent the formulation function on internal and external CMC teams; contribute to the product control strategy related to formulation and drug product development.
- Lead the interpretation of analytical results to understand antibody degradation pathways and develop strategies for maximizing product stability.
- Provide functional area data review, analysis, and troubleshooting for data generated by both internal and contract laboratories.
- Author and review technical reports and regulatory submissions.
- Streamline activities associated with a wide range of formulation technologies and data analysis strategies to shorten development times and enhance the quality of formulations delivered.
- Build and manage strong partnerships with research, non-clinical, clinical, drug substance process development, analytical development, and quality teams.
- Provide support, mentorship, and training to junior staff members.
