About the Role

As an Investment Advisor specializing in Retirement and Wealth Management, you will be an integral part of the branch sales team, contributing to the overall success by meeting and exceeding set deposit and investment sales targets through effective management of your designated customer portfolio. Your primary responsibility will be to establish and enhance investment and primary banking relationships with both existing customers and those referred by branch associates.

  • Exhibit a passion for financial sales while providing trusted financial guidance to clients regarding intricate investment and retirement strategies
  • Be results-oriented, proactively identifying customer needs and listening attentively to understand their goals
  • Conduct thorough reviews for assigned clients, including retirement planning, wealth accumulation, and estate planning, utilizing your financial planning expertise to create tailored financial strategies and solutions
  • Engage actively with clients, offering relevant insights and expert advice
  • Foster a collaborative environment when interacting with colleagues, clients, and partners
  • Build strong relationships, focusing on delivering an exceptional client experience and nurturing long-term connections with existing clients

Do you possess the skills necessary for success in this role? – We would be excited to work with you if you have:

  • Successfully completed the CIFP Diploma in Financial Planning (or an equivalent recognized by the bank)
  • A minimum of three years of experience in financial planning and investment sales
  • Proven sales management experience and the capability to promote Scotiabank effectively
  • The ability to cultivate strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and partners
