Position: Structural Engineer

Position Overview:

The Structural Engineer will play a crucial role in the design and evaluation of various structural frameworks to guarantee their safety, durability, and adherence to industry regulations. This position involves close collaboration with architects, construction personnel, and other key stakeholders to create economical and effective structural solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in civil engineering and significant experience with both steel and concrete frameworks. Proficiency in AutoCAD and other structural analysis tools is a prerequisite for this position.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and assess structural elements and systems, including beams, columns, foundations, and frameworks.
  2. Select suitable materials, dimensions, and specifications for structural initiatives.
  3. Prepare and review engineering calculations, schematics, and documentation.
  4. Work in partnership with architects and construction teams to uphold the structural integrity of projects.
  5. Conduct site inspections and evaluations to assess structural conditions and identify potential concerns.
  6. Offer technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and drafters.
  7. Remain informed about industry trends, codes, and regulations pertinent to structural engineering.
  8. Ensure adherence to relevant safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering.
  • In-depth knowledge of steel and concrete design principles.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other structural analysis software.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
  • Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Experience:
  • 5-10 years of experience in the field of structural engineering.
  • Experience with seismic design and analysis.
  • Familiarity with advanced structural analysis software.
  • Experience in project management and team leadership.
