Nesters Market is currently seeking an experienced Meat Department Manager to lead our store located in British Columbia. This role is full-time and reports to the Store Manager.

We are looking for a strong leader who has a passion for fresh food and who can efficiently oversee the daily operations of the Meat Department in terms of staffing, sales, customer service, merchandising, and product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide supervision to department staff to ensure quality customer service.
  • Maximize sales and gross profit through effective and creative merchandising.
  • Maintain department inventory by placing product orders regularly while adhering to departmental budgets.
  • Handle customer inquiries, requests and complaints in a prompt, polite and effective manner.
  • Comply with the Company's established Health and Safety and Food Safety policies and ensure that staff members are also adhering to these policies.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary Meat Cutting training/journeyman certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation, policies and practices.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of hours which include days, evenings, weekends and stat holidays.
