Job Title: Truck Driver - Long Haul

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team at AKK CARGO AND EARTHMOVING LIMITED. As a Truck Driver - Long Haul, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across long distances, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from trucks, ensuring accurate and efficient handling.
  • Obtain Special Permits: Obtain necessary permits and documents to transport cargo on international routes.
  • Operate Trucks: Drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements:
  • Certifications: Possess a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A) and a clean driving record.
  • Experience: Have previous experience in long-haul trucking, with a strong understanding of transportation regulations and safety protocols.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
