At Alberta Ltd., we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Farm Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our agricultural operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our farm labourers and harvesting operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate the work of farm labourers and harvesting teams to ensure efficient and effective crop production.
- Implement and maintain soil fertility programs to optimize crop yields and quality.
- Train and mentor farm labourers in seed cutting techniques and other essential skills.
- Ensure compliance with farm safety and bio-security procedures to protect our team and the environment.
- Monitor and maintain quality control and production records to inform future crop management decisions.
- Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations to ensure timely and successful harvests.
- Hire and train new staff members as needed to support our farm operations.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks in a physically demanding environment.
- Fast-paced environment with a focus on efficiency and productivity.
- Work under pressure to meet deadlines and achieve targets.
- Physically demanding tasks requiring attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Organized and methodical approach to work.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Permanent full-time position with 35-40 hours per week.
