Position Overview:

Kativik Ilisarniliriniq (La commission scolaire du Nunavik) is seeking a qualified individual to fill a position in generalist adult education in the English and French sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach adult education courses in English and French;
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of adult learners;
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly;
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective educational program.

Requirements:

  • Brevet d'enseignement or a teaching permit from the province of Quebec or from a Canadian province;
  • Fluency in two (2) of the three (3) official languages of KI (Inuktitut, English and French);
  • Experience in adult education and multi-level classes.

Assets:

  • Knowledge and teaching of the MEES programs;
  • Experience in teaching English and French as a second language;
  • Knowledge of the Moodle platform.

Classification / Salary / Benefits:

Salary and benefits as per the Teachers Collective Agreement of the Board: from $46,527 to $92,027 annually depending on experience and qualifications. All benefits are prorated based on the percentage of the task.
