Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Strategic Risk Manager to lead our Portfolio Optimization team. As a key member of our Risk Management department, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of risk-based strategies to optimize portfolio performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement risk-based strategies to optimize portfolio performance and ensure alignment with the Bank's risk appetite.
  • Lead a team of risk management professionals to analyze and assess portfolio performance, identify areas for improvement, and develop recommendations for optimization.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure that risk-based strategies are aligned with business objectives and goals.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, risk management teams, and regulatory bodies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in risk management and portfolio optimization.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to business stakeholders on risk management and portfolio optimization.
  • Develop and maintain risk management policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Bank policies.
  • Lead and participate in risk management initiatives, including stress testing, scenario analysis, and risk assessment.
  • Develop and maintain risk management models and tools to support portfolio optimization and risk management.
  • Provide regular reporting and updates to senior management on portfolio performance and risk management activities.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in economics, finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in risk management, with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Expert knowledge of consumer credit risk management and portfolio optimization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with business stakeholders and risk management teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks, regulations, and best practices.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, risk management teams, and regulatory bodies.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $170,000 CAD to $190,000 CAD, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, tuition reimbursement, accident and life insurance, and retirement savings plans.
