About the Role

CMT Mechanical LTD is seeking a skilled and reliable individual to join our team as a Mechanic Assistant. In this role, you will provide support to our tradespersons and apprentices, ensuring the smooth operation of our heavy equipment and tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tool and Equipment Management: Safely move and store tools, equipment, and other materials to ensure they are readily available for use.
  • Surveying Support: Assist surveying activities by holding stakes and ensuring the safety of workers and the general public.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Signal safety procedures to other workers and the general public, and provide support to tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers as directed.
  • Cleanliness and Maintenance: Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Other trades certificate or diploma, with experience an asset.
  • Work Setting: Willing to work in a rural area, remote location, or relocate for this position.
  • Transportation: Valid driver's license.
  • Physical Capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, organized, reliability, and team player.
