About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Activity Assistant to join our team at Embassy West Senior Living. As an Activity Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the healthcare team in providing exceptional care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Healthcare Professionals
    • Support healthcare professionals in administering medications, eye drops, and ointments as directed by ophthalmologists.
    • Assist in carrying out treatment programs under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities.
  • Maintain Inventories and Records
    • Maintain inventories of medications and pharmaceutical products.
    • Record test results and medications given by ophthalmologists.
  • Operate Equipment and Assist with Treatments
    • Operate ophthalmic testing and measuring instruments.
    • Position patients for treatments by chiropractor or machine.
    • Set up and dismantle equipment.
  • Provide Administrative Support
    • Perform general clerical duties.
    • Process files and paperwork.
    • Schedule and confirm appointments.
  • Other Responsibilities
    • Collect statistics.
    • Maintain supplies.
    • Monitor donors throughout procedure.
    • Document patient rehabilitation progress.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience.
