Key Responsibilities- Perform all aspects of tire shop work related to customer sites, including tire mounting, dismounting, and balancing.
- Assist mine maintenance staff as required, ensuring seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Maintain accurate tire inspection and maintenance programs, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Respond to after-hours call-outs and provide coverage for alternate MTG sites as required.
- Demonstrate and promote best practices for tire service and repair, ensuring exceptional customer experience.
- Dismount and mount tires for various vehicles in the mining industry, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
- Perform equipment checks and calibrations, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Conduct wheel alignments and perform repairs to tires and tubes.
- Operate heavy-duty tire servicing equipment and tools, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
- Complete required reporting and logging of data, ensuring accurate records and compliance with industry standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and requirements, maintaining a safe working environment.
- Report hazards, unsafe work conditions, and equipment to supervisors, ensuring prompt action and resolution.
- Participate in regular meetings and inspections to promote and improve safety in the workplace.
- Use and maintain personal protective equipment at all times, ensuring safety and compliance.
- At least two years of related experience as a tire technician, with direct experience in the mining industry preferred.
- OTR service training and certifications desired, with ability to obtain and maintain all applicable licenses and certificates.
- Experience operating and maintaining tire manipulators, forklifts, and service trucks, with ability to perform mechanically related tasks.
- Ability to physically perform duties of an OTR Tire Technician safely, with good communication and literacy skills.
