Job Opportunity: Field Electronics Technologist

As a Field Electronics Technologist with the Government of Canada, you will play a critical role in supporting the operation of seismic, geodetic, and space weather monitoring stations across Canada.

The Canadian Hazards Information Service (CHIS) is seeking a skilled professional to join its national-scale Field Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, constructing, and operating electronic equipment and geophysical monitoring instruments at remote stations throughout Canada, including the northernmost regions.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Designing and operating electronic equipment and geophysical monitoring instruments at remote stations.
  2. Performing station maintenance and remotely monitoring data transmission to ensure operational needs are met.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the Government of Canada's efforts to monitor and report on natural hazards. If you have experience as an electronic technologist or technician, proficient in operating advanced test equipment and electronic devices, and field-related experience, we encourage you to apply.
