Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct SIL validation calculations
  • Draft safety requirements specifications for Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS)
  • Engage in HAZOP/LOPA reviews as necessary
  • Prepare quotations for instrumentation and control
  • Create specifications for instruments and control valves
  • Participate in P&ID reviews
  • Supervise the preparation of technical drawings
  • Develop testing procedures
  • Carry out site inspections and visits

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in automated production engineering or equivalent
  • Membership in the Quebec Order of Engineers (OIQ)
  • Approximately 10 years of relevant professional experience

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Exceptional team collaboration skills
  • Quick problem-solving capabilities
  • Certification in functional safety (CFSP, CFSE, TÜV) and/or familiarity with CEI/IEC-61511 and ANSI/ISA84 standards
  • Knowledge of industrial automation is advantageous
  • Experience with PLC programming, HMI interfaces, DCS systems, and safety systems is a plus
  • Background in electrical circuits and power distribution is beneficial
  • Resourceful and proactive approach
  • Fluency in both French and English (spoken and written)
