Poultry Farm Worker Job Description

RPS Hawk Inc. is seeking a skilled Poultry Farm Worker to join our team. As a Poultry Farm Worker, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of our poultry flock.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor animal health and detect any signs of disease or health problems
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
  • Set and monitor water lines, air flow, and temperature in barns, pens, and chicken coops
  • Examine product for quality and readiness for market
  • Perform other tasks as required to ensure the smooth operation of the farm
Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Experience: Willing to train
  • Work site environment: Chicken farming, layer poultry farming, other poultry farming, outdoors, confined spaces, dusty, hot, noisy, odours, wet/damp
  • Work setting: Rural area, remote location, various locations
  • Equipment and machinery experience: Tractor, loader
  • Transportation/travel information: Vehicle supplied by employer, willing to travel regularly, willing to travel for extended periods
  • Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, physically demanding, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, hand-eye co-ordination, overtime required, sitting, standing for extended periods, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling
  • Personal suitability: Team player, efficient interpersonal skills
  • Experience: Will train
  • Financial benefits: Bonus, piece work
  • Other benefits: Transportation provided by employer, permanent employment, English language, 40 hours per week
