Senior Consolidation Analyst

Join American Iron & Metal and its subsidiaries as we seek a highly skilled Senior Consolidation Analyst to play a key role in our financial reporting team. As a Senior Consolidation Analyst, you will be responsible for preparing consolidated results, including compliance reports on a monthly and quarterly basis, and handling complex accounting issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare consolidated results, including compliance reports on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Accounting: Handle accounting for newly acquired or created entities
  • Complex Accounting Issues: Handle complex accounting issues
  • External Audit: Participate in the annual external audit process and in the preparation of external financial statements
  • Verification: Verify consolidated results for compliance with credit facility financial covenants and baskets
  • Divisional Results: Verify results of divisions and entities in group for accuracy and completeness
  • System Deployment: Participate in the deployment of new systems or the improvement of existing systems and processes
  • Accounting Operations Manual: Participate in the development of an accounting operations manual
  • Reporting Processes: Document, review and improve the effectiveness of reporting processes and procedures
  • Statistical Information: Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual statistical information for governmental organizations
  • Ad Hoc Tasks: Handle various ad hoc tasks, including requests from various departments within the company.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in accounting or relevant field
  • Professional Designation: Professional CPA designation, as an asset
  • Experience: 3+ years' relevant experience in financial consolidation and reporting
  • Software Skills: Knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
  • Consolidation Software: Knowledge of Microsoft D365 and/or other consolidation software, an asset
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills
  • Collaboration: Collaborative
